“Invisible Histories I, II, III provides an alternative way to interpret buildings, sites and places. These photographs capture no formal building. They present the space that a building once occupied or will reveal in the future. They are photographs of yet-to-be formalised structures, as such they have no categoric meaning or significance beyond the perfunctory. The ‘invisible buildings’, fleetingly held by the frames of these three photographs, provide stimulus to question the significance and appropriateness of proposed structures, introduce true histories of a place and, allow freedom to elaborate an idea or theory around each. In so doing, they question both what we see and know.”
