“In my photographic practice, I endeavour to capture the profound and often overlooked connections between the natural world and our deep-rooted sense of 'home. 'Surviving the Shadows,' my exhibited image, is a testament to the enduring resilience of life in the face of adversity. Amidst a hauntingly dark rainforest, a solitary small tree reaches for the light, symbolising the unwavering spirit of 'home' in unfamiliar surroundings. The image speaks to the innate human desire to find 'home' even in the most challenging and remote environments. It explores the notion that 'home' is not merely a physical place but an emotional and spiritual anchor that transcends boundaries, echoing the eternal struggle of life to thrive wherever it finds itself."
