Nullarbor Motel // Merning Country - Bo Wong

This image is part of a body of work called Golden State: Afterglow - exploring the built environment of regional and remote areas of Western Australia, the boom and bust state that I call home. While the rest of the country was in lockdowns, I travelled over 25,000km by road with my portable studio, zig-zagging through Western Australia, always staying just inside the border. I stay for the booms and the busts and am fascinated by this ebb and flow.
